Our 5th Anniversary was on March 17th, but we didn't go out alone until Sunday, 21st. We decided to do lunch and some shopping. Well, Jim wanted to go shopping first, so I just went along. We started driving down some dirt road, and he tells me he wants to check how high the creek got...huh??? I gave him a look, but he stopped the truck and got out. I was going to stay in the truck, but he said 'Come on'. Then he dashes back to the truck and gets something, then we go down to the creek. As I'm looking, he bends down on one knee and takes my hands. He looks up at me and tells me how much he loves me, and that he is the happiest man because of me. And asks me if I would marry him all over again, I'm almost in tears. He reaches into his pocket and pulls out a ring. A beautiful, sparkling 3/4 carat princess cut diamond solitaire. HOLY COW!
I gave him the flyer for a ring just like that but only 1/2 carat, in 2006. He has kept that flyer all this time. He took it into the jewelry store and told them that's what he wanted. Only he thought the 1/2 carat was too small.
I was floored, I never expected something like that. My husband is one sweet man, I am a lucky and happy woman!
Here are the goodies I got for my bday yesterday. I gave my family my Etsy fav list and they picked from it. I loved not knowing exactly what I was getting. It was so much fun! I really love everything. The digi frame was also a surprise.
I received a twin kitty placard, a custom made felt Maneki Neko doll, a Dr. Pepper cat magnet, a teapot and tea cup lariat necklace and a black bag with cool cat applique. (it is the bomb...as my kids say).
March is a super duper month :)
